A sexless marriage isn't a marriage, it's a friendship.

Sex is very important in a happy, healthy marriage. It's not the only thing that's important, and it's not the only thing that's important, but without it, you don't have a marriage.

I live in Kolkata, India and got married in 1993, soon after marriage I came to know that my wife is having a big tumor in her overy. Periods were very irregular and continues for 16~20 days in a month. It was operated after 2 years of painfull sexual life and after that she became totally cold and lost all her interest in sex.

We consulted doctor, but in vein. we are leading sexless married life for the past 14 years and nobody will be able to feel my situation unless they had gone thorgh such painfull situation. My wife will not give me divorce also since it is a social stigma, she will loose reputation in the society as she is a school teacher.

Is there anybody who is also suffering like me?

I would stay but be frustrated. Sex in a marriage isn't just about getting off. It ia a form of communicating your love to each other. The most intimate way to communicate it. If there is no sex it will cause problems in other areas of the marriage.
